Image
In the battle against climate change, the Sukher Swarga Foundation has emerged as a beacon of hope and a model for grassroots success. Led by its visionary founder, Swapan Suin, the organization has grown from a local initiative into a powerhouse that operates across the entire state of West Bengal. Their flagship mission, "Project Mangrove Bachao," is now setting international benchmarks. A Historic Milestone: The 20Cube Logistics Partnership The Sukher Swarga Foundation has achieved a feat few grassroots NGOs can claim: securing specialized foreign support from a global corporate giant. By blending the logistical expertise of a Singaporean firm with the local ecological knowledge of Swapan Suin, the initiative ensures that mangrove restoration is not just about plan...

The Ultimate Gift: How a Father Made His Daughter India’s First 'Carbon Neutral' Child

Image
In a world where we often gift our children gold, savings, or property, one father from the heart of the Sundarbans has set a global benchmark. He didn't just give his daughter a name; he gave her a forest . Meet Mr. Swapan Suin , the visionary founder of Sukher Swarga Foundation , who has turned his daughter's birth into a monumental environmental movement. A Forest Named 'Aranya' On November 21, 2025, a baby girl named Aranya was born. In Sanskrit/Bengali, 'Aranya' means "The Forest." To live up to her name, her father embarked on a mission to plant 7,000 mangrove saplings in the delicate ecosystem of the Sundarbans (specifically the Mithakhali to Chimta belt). Why 7,000 Trees? The Science of Carbon Neutrality This wasn't just a random number. There is a deep, scientific reason behind this massive plantation: The Carbon Footprint: On average, a human being is responsible for nearly 160 tonnes of CO2 emissions throughout th...

From Roots to Wings: Swapan Suin’s Vision Flourishes at Safalya Academy

Image
At Safalya Academy , the educational wing of the Sukher Swarga Foundation, we believe that true protection for our community comes in two forms: environmental and intellectual. For years, our founder, Swapan Suin—widely known as the " Mangrove Boy of India" —has been building a natural shield for the Sundarbans by planting over 5 lakh mangroves. Today, under his visionary leadership, we are planting a different kind of seed: the seed of education and empowerment. We are overjoyed to share that our mission has been bolstered by the kindness of two noble sisters from Kolkata, Amishi Agarwal and Prabha Poddar. They have generously donated essential educational kits and sports equipment to help our children soar. Merging Conservation with Education Our founder, Swapan Suin, often says, "The roots of the mangrove do more than just hold the soil; they hold our future." Similarly, the education at Safalya Academy is designed to give our children deep roots in knowledge and...

Today, under his visionary leadership, we are planting a different kind of seed: the seed of education and empowerment. A Landmark Visit for our 150 Students Currently, Safalya Academy is home to 150 students, providing a modern educational oasis in a remote region. We were honored to host a group of distinguished and kind-hearted guests from Kolkata who came to see how Swapan Suin’s mission has expanded from environmental conservation to academic excellence. The donors spent time interacting with the children and were deeply moved by the foundation’s work. Together with Mr. Suin, they discussed constructive plans to ensure these 150 students have the resources to compete with the best in the country.

In the heart of the Sundarbans, where the tides dictate the rhythm of life, a new kind of history has been written. While the world discusses climate change in air-conditioned rooms, Swapan Suin, the founder of Sukher Swarga Foundation—affectionately known as the "Mangrove Boy of India"—has given the world a living example of environmental love. This is the story of his daughter, Aranya Suin, a child born not just to a family, but to the forest itself. A Name with a Purpose: Aranya When Swapan Suin’s daughter was born, her name was chosen with deep intention: Aranya Suin.  Aranya means the forest or the wild.   By naming her Aranya, Swapan Babu sent a clear message: her identity is forever intertwined with the greenery that protects our planet. 7,000 Mangroves: A Gift of Carbon Neutrality To ensure his daughter grows up in a world that isn't burdened by her ecological footprint, Swapan Suin took an extraordinary step. He pledged to make Aranya Suin Carbon Neutral from bir...

The "Mangrove Boy of India": Swapan Suin’s Mission to Save the Sundarbans

In the heart of the Sundarbans, where the tide dictates the rhythm of life and the land is constantly reshaped by the sea, one man has emerged as a guardian of both the environment and the next generation. Swapan Suin, affectionately known as the "Mangrove Boy of India," is the visionary behind the Sukher Swarga Foundation (SSF) and its flagship educational initiative, Safalya Academy. A Legacy Rooted in the Soil For Swapan Suin, saving the Sundarbans isn’t just about planting trees; it’s about planting the seeds of change through education. His journey is one of immense personal sacrifice. Safalya Academy was built entirely without external grants or corporate funding. Instead, it is a self-funded legacy created from the collective savings of team members, teachers, and students, with every rupee earned from environmental projects reinvested into the 2.5-bigha campus. Restoring the Balance: Environment & Education Swapan Suin’s impact is felt across both the ecological a...
