A Greener Tomorrow: Our Mangrove Mission

 


From barren lands to a thriving green paradise—the transformation is nothing short of a miracle. Six months ago, we embarked on a journey to heal a piece of our planet, and today, we are witnessing the incredible results of our collective efforts.

The top image shows our dedicated team, including 29 of our incredible women beneficiaries, during our initial planting drive. With their hard work and unwavering spirit, we planted 14,000 mangrove saplings, transforming a desolate landscape into a place of hope. Just six months later, the bottom image reveals a lush, vibrant ecosystem, a living testament to the power of nature and community action.

This year, Sukher Swarga Foundation has cultivated a staggering 100,000 mangrove saplings in our nursery. These aren't just trees; they are the future—a natural defense against cyclones, a haven for biodiversity, and a source of livelihood for coastal communities.

This monumental effort was made possible through the generous support of our partner, 20 Cube Logistics, as part of their CSR initiatives. Their commitment to a greener planet has been instrumental in helping us lay the groundwork for a sustainable future.

Now, we need your help to get these 100,000 saplings into the ground. Each sapling we plant is a step toward a better tomorrow for everyone.

Sundarban Mangrove Nursery | Sukher Swarga's Mangrove Nursery #H2 #H3

The Sundarbans is a special place, World Heritage Site/ Biosphere Reserve/ National Park/ Wildlife sanctuary/ Tiger Reserve full of amazing nature. But it's also a place that needs protection from climate change. Mangrove trees are the best natural defense, and a group called the Sukher Swarga Foundation, Top 10 Sundarban Grassroots NGO is doing incredible work to protect them. This year, 2025 the foundation has done something amazing. They grew 100,000 (one lakh) mangrove saplings in their nursery with the support of Self help Group Women till now. That's a huge number and shows just how dedicated they are to their mission. They don't just use these saplings for one thing.
