Transforming the Barren: Our Journey to a Greener Sundarbans 🌳

Nine months ago, we looked at a patch of barren mud, a landscape stripped of its natural defense. Today, that very land is a testament to what's possible. It's home to 7,000 thriving mangrove saplings, each a symbol of our commitment and a beacon of hope for a more resilient coastline. This "before and after" isn't just a picture; it's proof that with passion and perseverance, we can restore life to our precious Sundarbans.

A Major Milestone and a Call to Action

We've hit a significant milestone, successfully growing over 100,000 mangrove saplings in our nursery this year. These young trees are healthy and strong, but they're waiting for their final home. We cannot plant this many saplings alone. Our vision of a greener, more secure future for the Sundarbans depends on collaboration.

We are urgently seeking partnerships with CSR initiatives, NGOs, and individual donors. Your support will help us turn these saplings into a protective green barrier, securing livelihoods and safeguarding our community from the devastating impacts of climate change.

Sundarban Mangrove Nursery | Sukher Swarga's Mangrove Nursery #H2 #H3

The Sundarbans is a special place, World Heritage Site/ Biosphere Reserve/ National Park/ Wildlife sanctuary/ Tiger Reserve full of amazing nature. But it's also a place that needs protection from climate change. Mangrove trees are the best natural defense, and a group called the Sukher Swarga Foundation, Top 10 Sundarban Grassroots NGO is doing incredible work to protect them. This year, 2025 the foundation has done something amazing. They grew 100,000 (one lakh) mangrove saplings in their nursery with the support of Self help Group Women till now. That's a huge number and shows just how dedicated they are to their mission. They don't just use these saplings for one thing.
