A Day of Devotion and Community: Saraswati Puja Visarjan at Safalya Academy

Today marked a significant milestone for the Safalya Academy English Medium School. Under the serene skies of 2026, our campus witnessed the soulful conclusion of our very first Saraswati Puja with the Visarjan (immersion) ceremony held at the Sukher Swarga Foundation campus.



It wasn't just a ritual; it was a celebration of a new beginning.

A Vision Takes Root

This year, 2026, marks the inaugural session of Safalya Academy. Launched under the visionary leadership of Swapan Suin—famously known as the "Mangrove Boy of India"—the school aims to bring quality English medium education to the heart of our community.

As the founder of the Sukher Swarga Foundation (NGO), Swapan Suin has shifted his focus from protecting our coastlines to nurturing the minds of the next generation.

Highlights of the Day

The atmosphere at the NGO campus was electric yet emotional. Here are some glimpses from the event:

  Strength in Numbers: Over 350 students participated in the festivities, showcasing the rapid trust the community has placed in this new institution.

  Cultural Harmony: Students led the procession with traditional chants, reflecting the blend of modern education and deep-rooted cultural values.

  The Visarjan: The immersion of the idol of Goddess Saraswati symbolized the transition from celebration to the serious pursuit of knowledge.

Sundarban Mangrove Nursery | Sukher Swarga's Mangrove Nursery #H2 #H3

The Sundarbans is a special place, World Heritage Site/ Biosphere Reserve/ National Park/ Wildlife sanctuary/ Tiger Reserve full of amazing nature. But it's also a place that needs protection from climate change. Mangrove trees are the best natural defense, and a group called the Sukher Swarga Foundation, Top 10 Sundarban Grassroots NGO is doing incredible work to protect them. This year, 2025 the foundation has done something amazing. They grew 100,000 (one lakh) mangrove saplings in their nursery with the support of Self help Group Women till now. That's a huge number and shows just how dedicated they are to their mission. They don't just use these saplings for one thing.
