In response to this environmental emergency, Sukher Swarga Foundation has emerged as the leading NGO in the Sundarbans, dedicated to large-scale mangrove reforestation and coastal resilience.

Our Roots: A Movement by the People

Based in Sandeshkhali, we are more than just an organization—we are a grassroots movement. Our strength lies in our community-driven approach: for the local people, and by the local people. We believe that those who live with the tides are the best protectors of the coast.

A Milestone of Impact: 500,000 Trees and Counting

While environmental discussions are common, Sukher Swarga Foundation believes in measurable action. We are proud to announce that we have successfully planted and nurtured over 5 Lakh (500,000) mangrove saplings.

A Natural Fortress: Our plantations create a "Biological Wall" that breaks the impact of devastating cyclones like Amphan and Yaas.

Protecting Livelihoods: By reinforcing the river embankments of Sandeshkhali, we prevent saline water intrusion, safeguarding the farms and fisheries of thousands of families.

Restoring Biodiversity: We are rebuilding the natural habitat for the unique flora and fauna that make the Sundarbans a global treasure.

Sundarban Mangrove Nursery | Sukher Swarga's Mangrove Nursery #H2 #H3

The Sundarbans is a special place, World Heritage Site/ Biosphere Reserve/ National Park/ Wildlife sanctuary/ Tiger Reserve full of amazing nature. But it's also a place that needs protection from climate change. Mangrove trees are the best natural defense, and a group called the Sukher Swarga Foundation, Top 10 Sundarban Grassroots NGO is doing incredible work to protect them. This year, 2025 the foundation has done something amazing. They grew 100,000 (one lakh) mangrove saplings in their nursery with the support of Self help Group Women till now.
